The High Priestess (Ram); The Moon (Rem); The Empress (Kitamura) are a series of serialized candleholders, made from cast aluminum, which stem from the research conducted at Espacio 218 during the "Oracles and Detours" exhibition and residency. For Feria Aparte, an edition of 2 copies of each candleholder is produced.
One of the key aspects of this research involved analyzing the material universe of San Antonio Street, where various types of esoteric artifacts are traded. Among them, those that particularly caught my attention were the anthropomorphic candleholders and incense burners shaped like deities from different religions, which become vessels for the emotional and spiritual wishes of those who venerate them. Similarly, waifus, with their diverse physical traits and personalities, transform into objects of worship, where candles are lit in their honor, acquiring the power to channel the desires and projections of their shippers.
